Cellulosic Primer

DESCRIPTION

Nitro-cellulosic and alkyd resin based, air drying, single component primer paint. It has been developed for furniture and metal industries. It is used to fill in the pores of solid wood, wooden surfaces and any veneers, to level surfaces, and to prepare surfaces for application of topcoat paints. It has high adhesion and filling properties. It dries fast and is easily sanded.

APPLICATION SURFACES

It is a primer applied to prepare a smooth surface prior to cellulosic topcoat paint applications on any wooden and metal surfaces. It is used to fill in the pores of solid wood, wooden surfaces and any veneers, to level surfaces, and to prepare surfaces for application of topcoat paints.

APPLICATION METHOD

Any oil, dust, dirt, rust, loose coats and similar impurities that may prevent the primer from adhering onto the surface must be entirely removed from the surface of application using suitable cleaning equipment, and the surface should be made suitable profile for the primer to adhere on. The surface should not be humid or wet. Irregular surfaces and old paint or primer coat, if any, should be scraped away and sanded, and sand dust must be removed from the surface. Metal surfaces must be wiped with Yalaz Cellulosic Thinner after sanding. The primer in packaging must be stirred well prior to application. The primer diluted with Yalaz Cellulosic Thinner by 20-25% is applied in 2-3 coats in cross directions. Wait for 10-15 minutes in between the coats.

Paintable (Coverable) Area

1 kg of product covers a surface of 8-10 m2 in a single coat (with a dry film thickness of 35-40 µ).

Drying Time

Touch Dry: 10 minutes

Sanding Time: 1.5-2 hours  

Storage

It can be stored for one year at a temperature of +5°C to +35°C in its original sealed packaging with no direct sunlight. Protect from extremely high temperatures and frost.
