Epoxy Floor Varnish
DESCRIPTION
It is a transparent floor varnish that penetrates into the cracks and pores on wooden and concrete surfaces, creating a highly sturdy surface for the paint systems to be applied on top.
PROPERTIES
- Excellent chemical and mechanical resistance.
- Very strong adhesion and elasticity.
APPLICATION SURFACES
It is applied on any wooden, metal and concrete surfaces. It is used for protecting metal surfaces from corrosive effects, waterproofing of buildings and parts of pools that are under the ground, and preventing water absorption of chipboard and wooden materials.
APPLICATION METHOD
After the two components of Epoxy Floor Impregnation Varnish are mixed at the specified ratio, it will reach the suitable viscosity for application with a roller and a brush. It does not require dilution with a thinner. However, since impregnating and saturating the cracks and pores on concrete and wooden surfaces with varnish will ensure better adhesion of the paint to be applied on top of it and increase the chemical resistance, it is recommended to dilute the product with Yalaz Epoxy Thinner by 8-10% for the application of the first coat. In case of applying with a sprayer, the product is first diluted to the viscosity of application with the thinner recommended for spraying application. Wooden surfaces must be dry and sanded well prior to application. Concrete surfaces must be clean and dry. Prior to application, old paint residue, oil, dirt and dust on the surface must be cleaned, and any loose coats must be removed by rasping, sanding and vacuuming. If the concrete is new, it must have completed its setting process of 21 days. When applying on concrete surface, two coats must be applied and the first coat should be diluted while the second coat should be applied without dilution. Metal surfaces must be cleaned off of oil, grease and impurities and any rust and rolling mill residue must be completely removed. The humidity of the concrete to be painted should not be greater than 4%. Application is not recommended at temperatures below 10°C.
