Yacht Varnish

DESCRIPTION

Urethane alkyd based varnish that provides excellent drying in interior and exterior environments. It is a solvent-based glossy varnish that does not crack and protects wooden components of yachts from the damaging effects of sea water, rain and sun.

 APPLICATION SURFACES

It is safely used on wooden components of sea vehicles, interior and exterior wooden surfaces of buildings and wooden furniture. 

APPLICATION METHOD

The surface of application must be sturdy, dry and clean. Old and blistered varnish must be scraped off, sanded and the sand dust must be removed. The spike knots on new wooden surfaces must be burnt and cleaned. The surface should be cleaned with Yalaz Cellulosic Thinner and impregnated with Yalaz Wood Protector. It should be applied in two or three coats. Wait for one day in between the coats. Apply without diluting in case of using a brush or a roller, and dilute with Yalaz Synthetic Thinner by 10% in case of using a sprayer.

Paintable (Coverable) Area

1 liter of product covers a surface of 10-12 m2 in a single coat depending on the method of application and the surface.

Drying Time

(20°C)

Touch Dry: 1/2 - 2 hours. 

Dust Dry: 2-4 hours.

Hard Dry: 4-6 hours   

Storage

It can be stored in its original packaging for two years with no direct sunlight at a temperature of +5°C to +35°C. Protect from extremely high temperatures, humidity and frost.
