Synthetic Boat Paint

APPLICATION SURFACES

It is used on the board, upper structure and inner parts of sea vessels and also indoor and outdoor wooden and metal surfaces.

APPLICATION METHOD

The surface of application must be cleaned off of any dirt, rust, oil and loose paint coats and then roughened with sandpaper. Spike knots on wooden surfaces must be burned without damaging the wood and any wood related resin must be removed. Next, the surface must be wiped with cellulosic thinner. Unprimed wooden surface prepared must be primed with polyurethane transparent impregnation primer in 2-3 coats. Metal surfaces must be sandblasted at Sa2 level or, ideally, Sa2 ½ level and primed with epoxy anticorrosive primer within 6 hours. During application, pay attention to the dew point and do not apply the product on humid or wert surfaces. Moisture and/or water may cause foaming, matting and peeling of the product from the surface, which are not normal. Areas that need filling on plastered surfaces must be puttied and primed with synthetic primer.

Dilution / Mixing Ratio

Diluted with Synthetic Thinner by 15-20%.

Paintable (Coverable) Area

1 liter of product paints a surface of 14-18 m2 (dry film thickness of 30-40 microns).

Drying Time

Dust Dry: 1-1.5 hours

Touch Dry: 2-3 hours

Hard Dry: 12 hours 

Storage

It must be kept and stored in a cool and dry environment with no direct sunlight. It can be stored in its original packaging for minimum 1 year. Keep the lid closed after using.
